In-person and Telehealth
People see psychologists for all sorts of reasons.
It is perfectly normal to feel challenged by life at times, even if things have generally been going pretty well until now.
Or it may feel as though the struggles are ever present, and this is preventing you from feeling meaningfully connected to your life and those around you, and stopping you from reaching your goals.
Perhaps healthy and rewarding relationships feel out of reach.
In such circumstances, it would be understandable to feel anxious, sad, confused or distressed. We can help by providing a warm, validating therapeutic environment where we can explore the impacts of your experiences and give you tools to cope, support healing and create change, if desired.

Our neuroaffirming autism assessments are designed to build a rich understanding of how an individual experiences and engages with the world. We explore patterns of communication, social connection, sensory processing, interests, routines, and daily functioning through a respectful and collaborative process that values neurodiversity.
Because autism and ADHD commonly co-occur, we also screen for ADHD as part of the assessment process. Where appropriate, we may recommend a comprehensive ADHD assessment to further explore attention, executive functioning, and regulation differences. While psychologists are unable to prescribe medication, ADHD assessments can provide valuable insight, self-understanding, and strategies to assist. If an individual wishes to explore the option of medication as part of a strategy to assist with aspects of ADHD, we then recommend further assessment with a psychiatrist rather than a psychologist to reduce the burden of further assessment and cost.
If you would like to learn more about our assessment process, discuss whether an autism assessment may be right for you, or have questions about ADHD screening and assessment, please get in touch. We are happy to answer your questions and help you determine the most appropriate next steps.
