About

Epiphany Psychology Services is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based therapy that supports you to overcome challenges, foster deeper connections, and achieve both individual and relationship goals.

Helen Fearnley is the founder and principal psychologist at Epiphany Psychology Services. She strives to create a safe, welcoming, affirming and inclusive therapeutic service for adults.

Helen chose the name Epiphany for her psychology practice because it is a word clients have often used with her over the years to describe the experience of something clicking or making new sense following a therapy session or sessions. This might be a new insight, or a shift in how something is perceived.

Helen prioritises building a strong therapeutic relationship as she believes this is an essential component of positive outcomes for clients. A strong therapeutic relationship is one that recognises our common humanity, fosters an atmosphere of openness, trust, collaboration and respect, and has healthy boundaries.

Helen is warm and caring in her approach. She is nonjudgmental and welcoming of people from all walks of life, all genders and neurotypes. She has extensive experience, working with clients in both the public and private sectors, over a broad range of mental health concerns. This experience spans inpatient mental health recovery settings, forensic settings, disability settings, sexual health, and general private practice. Although Helen is an endorsed forensic psychologist, her primary focus is in private practice where she feels privileged to apply her experience and clinical skills to assist people experiencing a range of concerns. Importantly, she is aware of intersectionality as it relates to mental health, and welcomes and values your unique experiences.

Therapy is about you. So it is important that the therapeutic environment is comfortable, centred around you, and is adapted to your needs and preferences.

Helen is also a Board Approved Supervisor of psychologists. Please click on the  'Services' tab for more information.
